After being at a multitude of rinks over the past few weeks, I have noticed a very disturbing trend. Coaches yelling at young refs for every possible little (or sometimes big) missed infraction.
This is not something that I take lightly, because every manager knows how hard it is to find refs.
Please remind your coaches that these are kids (usually 12-16 years old).
As the end of the season draws near, let’s end it off with a more positive approach to discussing issues with refs.
